Oreo Cream Rolls

Hello, sweet-toothed bakers! If you loved my Moisty Cinnamon Rolls, you are in for a treat! In this recipe I’m taking that same soft, pillowy dough and turning it into something special for all the Oreo lovers out there.

These Oreo Rolls are filled with a creamy, cookies-and-cream filling and topped with a smooth Oreo Glaze. It’s a dessert that is as fun as it is delicious—perfect for any time you’re craving something extra indulgent.

For the dough, we’ll be using the same recipe as my Cinnamon Rolls. Head over to that post for the full details on how to make this wonderfully soft and fluffy base. Now, let’s jump into the filling and frosting for these irresistible Oreo Rolls!

Ingredients:

For the Oreo Filling:

  • 350 grams mascarpone
  • 200 grams cream cheese
  • 6 tablespoons powdered sugar (if you like it less sweet, 4-5 tablespoons will be enough)
  • 2 packages of Oreo cookies (separate cream from cookies; crush two-thirds of the cookies, save one-third for topping)
  • 2 teaspoons black cocoa powder

For the Oreo Glaze:

  • ½ can condensed milk
  • 100 millilitres lukewarm milk
  • 1 teaspoon black cocoa powder
  • 200 grams cream cheese

Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dough:

  • Follow the instructions in the Cinnamon Rolls recipe to prepare and proof the dough. Once it’s risen and ready to roll, come back here to continue.

2. Prepare the Oreo Filling:

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone and the reserved Oreo cream, beating until smooth.
  • Add the cream cheese and continue beating until well-combined.
  • Mix in the powdered sugar and black cocoa powder until fully incorporated.
  • Finally, fold in the crushed Oreo cookies until the mixture is creamy and well-blended.

3. Fill and Roll the Dough:

  • Roll out the prepared dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle, approximately ½ centimeter thick.
  • Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
  • Slice into even rolls (about 12-14, depending on thickness), gently roll and place them in a greased baking dish.

4. Bake the Rolls:

  • Cover the rolls loosely with a clean cloth and let them rise for another 20-30 minutes. Before putting it in the oven, cover the rolls with whipping cream (just a little to help them stay moisty).
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C. Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Allow them to cool slightly before glazing.

5. Prepare the Glaze:

  • In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese with the condensed milk, lukewarm milk and black cocoa powder. Whisk until smooth and creamy.

6. Glaze and Serve:

  • Spread the glaze generously over the warm rolls. For an extra Oreo twist, crumble the remaining third of the Oreo cookies on top.

Serving:

These Oreo Rolls are best enjoyed warm, when the filling is melty and the glaze adds an extra layer of sweetness. Each bite is filled with the rich, cookies-and-cream flavor that Oreo lovers can’t resist. They’re perfect for sharing (or not!), so enjoy and treat yourself to the ultimate experience!
